Get a tag, stick it, get up

Scamper works with any NFC sticker that has a readable serial number. Cheap NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 stickers, sold in packs online, work well. You need one to start. Stick it somewhere you have to walk to, pair it with one scan, and you're set.

What to buy

  • NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216 stickers. Any size works; 25 mm or larger is easiest to hit.
  • Most NFC key fobs and cards work too.
  • For metal surfaces such as a fridge, buy on-metal (anti-metal) tags.

Scamper doesn't sell tags and gets nothing from where you buy them.

Where to put it

  • By the kettle or coffee machine.
  • On the bathroom mirror.
  • In another room, at standing height.
  • Not anywhere you can reach from bed.

Pairing

Open Scamper, tap the Tag tile on Today (or go to Settings), and hold the top of your iPhone near the sticker. That's it.

Printable tag stickers

Print a sheet of Scamper stickers, cut one out and stick it over your NFC tag so you can find it half-asleep. Print at 100% (actual size).

Questions

Do I have to write anything to the tag?

No. Scamper reads only the tag's serial number, so a blank sticker is fine.

How many tags do I need?

One. Spares are handy if you travel or want a tag in another room.

Mornings, sorted.
